The girl turns, revealing that she's a Feeler, and stings one officer, and the other one opens fire and requests backup as the strigoi runs into the shadows. More officers arrive and open fire, but the Feeler stays to the shadows.

As the officer, Mikey, gets his wounded comrade down the stairs, another Feeler attacks him. A third officer arrives and opens fire, and the Feeler crawls out through a roof hatch. The officers retreat and evacuate the citizens. The wounded Mikey says that he's fine as his eyes turn red.

The Feelers meet Kelly on a nearby roof and tell her what happened. She comforts them, singing a lullaby.

Eph goes to a club in Chelsea and goes to the back, identifying himself as a friend of Dutch. The ID manufacturer lets him in and Eph says that they have IDs, and just needs the name. As the man works them up, he says that he saw Eph on the news and advises him to change his appearance since he's trying to leave the city.

Abraham goes to a warehouse run by gangster Alonso Creem. Once Alonso's men search him for weapons, Abraham says that he's there to buy the Lumen. Alonso is surprised that he wants a book instead of a way out of the city, and offers him silver in return. When Alonso tries to take them, Abraham draws his sword cane and points out that he can kill Alonso before the bodyguards gun him down. Alonso agrees to check his stock of books.

Eph returns to the loft and tells Zach that once he makes contact with the military, he can arrange the dispersal of the virus. Zach says that he isn't going home without his mother, and refuses to go with Eph, and Nora talks to Eph privately. She says that their group will attract attention when they pass through the government checkpoints, and offers to stay with Zach. Eph is surprised that she isn't going with him, and Nora says that he'll have to be on his own in case he runs. Dutch comes down and says that Vasily has been arrested by Faraldo's people, and plans to go after him. Nora prepares to go with her, and Eph admits that it's not practical that Nora come with him. However, he says that he needs her. Nora says that she's making the decision this time and he's doing it on his own.

In the bathroom, Eph takes a drink and then shaves his hair off. He then puts ashes into an urn and takes off his wedding ring. Eph then tells Zach that Nora will be back and will stay with Zach. Zach says that Eph should stay there as well, and Eph says that he needs to do it. He asks for a hug and Zach reluctantly hugs him and wishes Eph luck.

Dutch and Nora arrive at the Red Hook police station where people are complaining about their eviction. Faraldo tells them that their homes are not safe, and promises that her crews will win their neighborhoods back. She warns that anyone showing symptoms has to go into quarantine for 72 hours. Afterward, Nora introduces herself to Faraldo and says that she can diagnose people within two to three hours. But in return, she wants to get Vasiliy released.

An officer gets Vasiliy and brings him to the squad room. Dutch notices the bruises on his face and complains to Kowalski, who is none too happy that they're releasing Vasiliy. Vasiliy tells him that he blew up the tunnel to cut off access to Red Hook, and Kowalski admits that he had the right idea. They tell Kowalski about the use of silver and UVC, and Kowalski tells them about the Feelers. He figures that he's going to go back and clear the development, and asks Dutch and Vasiliy to accompany him.

Eph enters the train station and works his way through the crowds, identifying himself as CDC. Soldiers are at the checkpoint and Eph says that he's heading back to Washington. The officer asks for his driver's license, and Eph claims that he doesn't drive. After a moment, the officer lets him pass. Eph looks back at the crowds of panicked people and then continues on.

The train heads to Washington and Eph goes to the bar car to buy some beers. He sees Everett aboard and sits down with a passenger rather than draw attention to himself.

Abraham confirms that Alonso doesn't have the Lumen, and describes the book's silver cover. He offers him two rare watches if Alonso finds the book, and the gangster says that he knows someone who specializes in religious iconography.

As Eph takes a drink, his fellow passenger explains that he's a lawyer with the Energy Department and was caught in the quarantine. He introduces himself as Neil Archer, says that Eph looks vaguely familiar, and goes to get a drink. Once he goes, Eph walks out the opposite door.

Nora checks the quarantine victims with a UVC light and discovers that one of them is infected. Afterward, Faraldo wonders if they should wait for him to turn, and Nora says that the man and his family should decide. The councilwoman asks Nora to check someone else, and takes her to see her nephew Mikey. Nora checks him with the UVC and confirms that he's infected, and says that there's nothing they can do to remove the worms. Angry, Faraldo storms out, crying.

Vasiliy and Dutch go to the development building armed with silver weapons. Kowalski and his men head through the building , and Dutch and Vasiliy demonstrate the effectiveness of silver on the strigoi they find. They enter an apartment and hear the shower running, and Vasiliy confirms the stall is empty. They hear a thumping noise in the wall and find an open air vent. The thumping continues and Vasiliy drives his rebar through the wall repeatedly, making a hole. A strigoi extends its stinger through the hole, and Dutch cuts it off while Vasiliy drives his rebar into the strigoi's mouth.

Out in the hallway, Vasiliy pries open the elevator door and finds a nest of strigoi in the bottom. Dutch tosses in a silver grenade and kills the creatures, impressing Kowalski.

Nora brings morphine to Faraldo to kill her nephew. The councilwoman wonders if it would be easier to kill Mikey once he turns, and Nora says that he'd rather die as himself. She sets up the morphine injection, and Faraldo finally says that she can't do it. Nora does it for her, and Faraldo gives her nephew a kiss on the forehead as he dies.

Abraham makes his way through the streets and notices someone following him. He ducks into an alleyway and confronts the man. Reggie pulls back his hoodie and says that he's ready to help.

Eph sits down and finishes off another beer, and Everett enters the car. When he approaches Eph, Eph goes into the next car before his former boss sees him, and ducks into a restroom. Homeland Security agents knock on the door, calling for a mandatory medical inspection. Eph hesitantly comes out and they check him for symptoms. Irritated, Eph says that he's one of the first people to identify the symptoms. Curious, the agents ask to see his ID. As he goes back to his seat, Everett finds Eph. Eph grabs him and Everett says that he hates the position that they put him in. Angry, Eph tells Everett to let him go because he has a plan to wipe out the infected. Everett says that it's good news and asks him to let him go, and Eph realizes that he's lying.

As Everett walks away, Eph attacks him and the two men fight. As the train pulls into the Baltimore station, Eph knocks Everett out and prepares to jump off the train. Everett recovers and warns Eph that he can't win, and tells him not to end up on the wrong side of things. When he goes to get the cops, Eph grabs him and throws him off the train as they enter the station.

Eldritch takes Coco to an expensive Manhattan restaurant. Everyone applauds him for his efforts on behalf of the city, and Cardinal McNamara comes over to tell Eldritch that a certain item he was looking for will be turning up soon. He says that he'll be in touch and leaves, and Eldritch tells Coco that it was nothing. She doesn't believe him, and Eldritch says that McNamara obtains historical collectibles from time to time.

After dinner, Eldritch and Coco return to Stoneheart Group and see a building burning across the city. Eldritch jokes about it briefly and then fixes a nightcap, and wonders how he should present Coco to people. He assures her that she's worth much more to him than a mere assistant, Coco turns on some music and tells him not to worry, and then invites him to dance. Eldritch tries to beg off, but she pulls him up and they dance.

The guard asks to open his bag, and the man finds the urn. Eph claims that it contains his wife's ashes, and the guard hastily gives the urn back.

The flight crew says that their client is sick and he left when they landed. The head of security orders them inside and checks the fence, and discovers that something tore thought it. They unleash their dog and it goes through the hole... and doesn't come back.
