Ne-Yo was born in Arkansas, named Shaffer C. Smith also known as Ne-Yo. He was raised by his mother. He later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada which is where Ne-Yo credits finding his passion. Ne-Yo began writing at an early age, and his undeniable skills lead him to write songs for several artist such as B2K, Mary J. Blige and Mario. Now Ne-Yo has transformed from behind the scene writer to on the screen artist. Although he is preparing for all of the fame that comes with success, Ne-Yo is sure that his future will only rise higher.
