Craig Bierko was born on August 18, 1964 in Rye Brook, New York. His father, Rex Bierko, is Catholic, and his mother, Pat Bierko, is Jewish. He attended Boston University to major in journalism, and later went to Northwest University where he graduated in 1986.
Bierko broke into acting with small guest roles on television shows such as Our House, and Newhart, and then had a brief recurring role on The Young and the Restless. He began to be cast in small parts in a few movie roles as well, including Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) and The Thirteenth Floor (1999). When he was cast as a boxer in the 2005 film, Cinderella Man, he had to gain quite a bit of muscle for the role. Most recently, he starred as Jeffrey Coho on ABC’s hit courtroom show, Boston Legal.
Bierko has dated many famous Hollywood beauties, including Charlize Theron, Gretchen Mol, and Meg Ryan.
