Wendie Malick

Wendie Malick is an American actress, and was born on December 13, 1950 in Buffalo, New York. Malick's mother was a former model, and Wendie followed in her footsteps in the 1970's. Malick left modeling to pursue a career in politics, working for Republican Congressman Jack Kemp. Wendie decided to enter the acting game in the early 80's, even auditioning for the role of Diane on 'Cheers.' She scored her first series regular role on the short-lived NBC drama 'Trauma Center' in 1983. Malick would move on to guest roles on shows such as 'Mike Hammer', 'The Scarecrow and Mrs. King', 'Highway to Heaven', and 'Kate & Allie.' In 1988, Malick appeared as Frank Cross' sister-in-law in the successful comedy 'Scrooged', opposite Bill Murray. Following a recurring role on 'Baywatch' in the early 90's, Wendie played the female lead in the critically acclaimed HBO comedy 'Dream On.' She returned to guest star work for the next while, before assuming her most well known role of Nina Van Horn on 'Just Shoot Me.' True to her usual pattern, Malick went back to guest roles once JSM was canceled in 2003. Today, Wendie can be seen portraying egotistical soap opera actress Victoria Chase on the TV Land hit sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland.'
