Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey Dean Morgan demonstrated his talent and versatility as an actor on three popular television series in 2006.

He played the recurring role of, 'Denny Duquette,' on ABC and Touchstone Television's Grey's Anatomy. The character died in the season finale on May 15, 2006. There was an outpouring of grief from the show's fans, leading to Denny's reappearance in a 3 story arc in February/March 2007.

Jeffrey played 'John Winchester,' the now deceased father of brothers Dean and Sam Winchester (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki) on the CW's hit show Supernatural, which was recently renewed for a fourth season. Scheduled to re-appear, in the two part season 2 finale, Jeffrey was unavailable. The character was green-screened in for a brief, and silent appearance, disappointing many fans, who have campaigned for the character's return to the show.

He has also appeared in flashback and fantasy sequences as 'Judah Botwin', the deceased husband of Mary Louise Parker's character, in Weeds. It is his untimely death that forces the newly single mom to resort to selling marijuana to make a living in suburban Los Angeles.

On the feature film front, Jeffrey has made a number of films in the past year. Day's of Wrath, also starring Lawrence Fishburne is set for a 2008 release. Jeffrey plays a TV producer determined to milk ratings from gang related riots.

Watchmen, adapted from the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, filmed in Vancouver during the fall and winter of 2007/2008 is slated for a March 2009 release. Jeffrey will play the part of the Comedian/Edward Blake.

In February, 2007 Jeffrey finished shooting The Accidental Husband with Uma Thurman and Colin Firth. The delayed shooting schedule for this film, resulting from Uma Thurman's broken wrist, was the reason for Jeffrey's unavailability to appear in the second season finale of Supernatural. This film, currently playing in Europe, will be released in North America in late summer 2008.

In the fall of 2006 he played 'William' in P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. The film was released in December 2007, and to date (March 2008) has made in excess of $102 million dollars.

Released in 2007 were Live! with Eva Mendes, and Kabluey.

The actor's previous television credits include CBS' The Handler and the lead role in UPN's The Burning Zone, as well as guest-appearances on The O.C., Monk, Angel, Tru Calling and Star Trek: Enterprise.

In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys barbecuing on the grill, reading, watching movies and listening to his favorite band, The Eagles. The Seattle native also loves to root for his home team, the Seattle Seahawks. He currently divides his time between Los Angeles and New York. His long time canine companion is Bisou (French for "kiss") Morgan, a nine year old Rottweiler mix that Jeffrey hand raised from a few days old puppy.

Shonda Rhimes wrote a TV Pilot, called Correspondents for Jeffrey. In limbo for 2 years, IMDb currently suggests it will instead be made as a TV movie. The movie follows the exploits of 4 female reporters in different media. It will reportedly be a comedy.
