The Weather Channel (TWC) will premiere its new series "Weathering Disaster" on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. ET (repeating at 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET). Sponsored by Farmers Insurance, "Weathering Disaster" is a 30-minute, six-episode series. Each episode introduces viewers to individuals whose homes were destroyed by severe weather and follows their efforts to rebuild in their communities working with volunteers and their insurance company. The series spans several natural disasters, including wildfires in Yorba Linda, CA; tornadoes in Sherwood, AR, Harrah, OK, and Joplin, MO; Hurricane Ike in Texas, and more.
"Weathering Disaster" shares the inspiring stories of how people can unite and do great work after disaster strikes, and Farmers Insurance is happy to be a part of that response effort," said John Ingersoll, vice president of advertising for Farmers Insurance. "We are proud to take part in this opportunity to help spread the message that in the face of adversity, people and organizations can come together to move forward." (Source: The Weather Channel)
