Village SOS is presented by Sarah Beeny. Sarah follows the progress of six different villages who received large sums of money from the Big Lottery Fund to start up rural businesses with the aim to breathe life back into the different areas.

Sarah travels to ideswell in the Peak District where shops have been closing, pubs have shut and it's in danger of becoming a ghost town. Pete Hawkins and a group of local volunteers want to turn things around and set up a cookery school and a quality mark to reflect the great local produce.
