United States Girls' Junior Golf Championship

The "United States Girls' Junior Golf Championship" is sponsored by the USGA (United States Golfing Association). It is for girls age 18 or under on the last day of the competition and have a USGA handicap index of 18.4 or less. The first 2 days of competition is called "stroke play". Beginning with the 3rd day of competition the top 64 compete against each other in "match play". This tournament originally began play in 1949. Last years winner was Gabriella Then from Rancho Cucamonga, California and current student at the University of Southern California and a member of the USC Trojans Golf team.
