The enigmatic billionaire who owns the Stoneheart Group, Eldritch is dying by slow degrees. To gain immortality, he has made a deal with the Master to spread his vampiric infestation to New York in return for being transformed into a vampire and living forever.

A Nazi during World War II, Eichhorst is recruited by the Master and willingly becomes a vamprie to gain power when it becomes clear that the Allies are winning the War. In the present he serves as the Master's representative--his "human face"--with the outside world.

Eichhorst possesses all of the typical vampiric powers, and the Master has let him retain his human intelligence. He typically uses makeup and prosthetics to disguise his vampiric appearance.

Later, the Master transfers his essence into Gabriel's body when his previous body is all but destroyed by exposure to sunlight.

The long-suffering wife of Eph, Kelly wishes that her husband could be more focused on his family. However, she has realized that he never will and during their separation, started seeing Matt Sayles. Now Kelly is planning to get a divorce from Eph.

The Master eventually orders her transformation into a strigoi as part of a revenge scheme against Eph, and gives her the user of the Feelers to exploit her link to her son.

A New York ganger, Gus took to the streets to survive. His mother Guadalupe is threatened with deportation and his brother Crispin is in much deeper with the gangs and has a criminal record. When the Stoneheart Group offers to resolve all of his family matters in return for making one delivery, Gus accepts.

Max is later recruited by the Ancients to serve as their human agent, able to walk in the day. They send him out to find the Master, the rebel among their number.

Eph's son, Zach loves his father and doesn't want his parents to divorce. He isn't particularly thrilled with his mother's new boyfriend, Matt, and hopes that he can be together with his father. However, Zach knows that his father is dedicated to his work and often forgets his family responsibilities.

Quinlan is an attempt by the Master to create prodigy, centuries ago. The new strigoi soon turned against his sire and has since fought him down through the centuries. He has on occasion allied with the Ancients to destroy the rogue. As a strigoi himself, Quinlan is vulnerable to silver and UV light, but has built up some tolerance to sun's rays and can go out when heavily cloaked.
