read more.8x13: Simpsoncalifragilisticexpiala(D'oh)cious recap: The family is sitting down at the couch watching TV and having a TV dinner, and Bart asks for a glass of milk, which Marge gets. After the rest of the family gives her orders, Marge notices a hair in Lisa's soup, and realizes it's her hair. After many regular household activities, she gets many empty spaces in her hair, which becomes very thin. After checking with Dr. Hibbert, he finds out that the hair loss is caused by stress, and she needs to relax. Marge tells the rest of the family about this, and they decide to hire a nanny. While taking interviews, they just can't decide on the people, since Homer has chased many applicants away and some of them just weren't appropriate. Bart and Lisa decide to make some suggestions for what kind of babysitter they want, and put it in the form of a song. After they've finished, a woman named Shary Bobbins shows up by umbrella. She does well on the interview, and gets the job. She teaches Bart and Lisa to clean up their rooms, takes them for walks, helps the people in the park, and eventually changes the family. After seeing she's done a lot of work for the family, her services are no longer required, and Shary Bobbins turns out to leave. While thinking about the family, Homer and Bart pop out the window, with Homer strangling him. Shary walks back in and finds everything in the house in chaos again. She comes back to the house once more, but can't seem to help them in any way, except be their "slave". While scolding Lisa, she suddenly feels ungrateful. The family come over to comfort her, and explain to her that she can't change the family. Shary realizes that they're all a bunch of apes, and goes flying away, getting hit by an airplane on the path...
read more.8x9: El Viaje de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer) recap: While Homer reads a newspaper, he discovers an article missing, and tries to find out what it was about. While he was trying to have a conversation with Lenny, Marge vacuums over the phone line, disconnecting after learning the topic of the conversation. Later, Homer finds Marge smoking, and then he goes outside to smell the air, which smelled of chili. He finds out about the Chili Festival, which Marge objects to, since Homer got very drunk last year at the festival. She allows him to go, but only if he promises to not drink while he's there. Once they arrive, Homer goes to the chili booths to try out the various types of chili. After getting very disappointed by chili made by Moe, Ned, etc. he comes upon the chili of Chief Wiggum, whose chili with one touch by the tip of Homer's tongue, got it burning and sends Homer screaming. While trying to put the burning sensation out with beer, he gets caught by Marge, who gets infuriated. After that ordeal, he starts eating wax from a candle, and heads back to chief Wiggum to eat his chili again, which he does with no problem at all. After that, Homer starts feeling a little pain around the stomach, and later followed by hallucinations. He runs off into a strange fantasy world, where he finds a tortoise showing him a way to sanity. After following the tortoise, he meets a space coyote, who tells him to find his soul mate in order to become complete. Afterwards, he wakes up to find he is in Kent Brockman's golf course, and heads home. He finds Marge, but she is very angry with him and tells him she is not his soul mate. He decides to travel around the town to search, and eventually stumbles upon the lighthouse, which is run by someone named Earl. While running up the steps to be "reunited" with his long lost soul mate, he discovers that Earl is actually a robot. Upset, he looks out the window and finds a ship, and takes out the light to make the ship crash into the lighthouse. Marge then discovers him, and explains how she found him, which proves that she knows all about Homer. She also explains that their differences are only skin-deep, but their common grounds go right down to the bone. While being reunited, they remember that the ship is heading towards them, and they use a new light to steer the ship away. The ship then crashes into land, where many people rush over and take the "precious cargo"...
read more.6x22: Round Springfield recap: Bart is at the breakfast table eating a bowl of cereal. Little does he know, the cereal that he is eating contains a jagged metal Krusty-O, which he swallows. The next part is him getting a stomachache, and eventually sending him to the hospital. He gets his appendix removed, and Lisa roams around the hospital and finds Bleeding Gums Murphy, an old jazz musician from the first season. Lisa has a recital coming up, and Bleeding Gums gives her his saxophone to play in it. After knocking them all dead at the recital, she goes back to the hospital to thank him, only to find out he passed away. Meanwhile, Bart files a lawsuit for $100,000 on the jagged metal Krusty-O, and receives 500 dollars from his lawyer, Lionel Hutz. Lisa wants to honor the memory of Bleeding Gums, and decides to pay a tribute to him on the radio, playing one of his songs. She needs to get an album, but doesn't have the money for it. Bart decides to buy it for her, and she plays it on the radio. After everyone in Springfield listens to his music, Bleeding Gums Murphy appears to her in the form of a cloud, thanking her for making his name known to the entire city, and to show his satisfaction, he plays jazz with Lisa one more time...
read more.6x20: Two Dozen and One Greyhounds recap: Santa's Little Helper has been acting a little friskier than usual, and the Simpsons try to find out why. After finding him in the dog racing track, they discover he's in love with another female dog. The Simpsons decide to keep her, and the dogs eventually make twenty-five puppies. Although the Simpsons love the puppies very much, they've become too much of a nuisance, and decide to give them away. Later, Mr. Burns comes and take the puppies away. Bart and Lisa find out about this, and make an attempt to get them back. While spying on Mr. Burns through a window, they discover that he was planning on killing the puppies and using their hide to make a tuxedo. Bart and Lisa jump into action and take away the puppies, but Mr. Burns catches on to them. Bart and Lisa eventually come up with a plan to prevent him from killing the puppies, and Mr. Burns is convinced that animals like these are too innocent to be killed. He promises to never wear another animal again (that can do an amusing trick)...
