"The Marty Stuart Show" is a must-see during RFD-TV's Saturday Night Music Row. Each exciting episode features Mr. Stuart and his band "The Fabulous Superlatives". Episodes also feature his "Country Queen" wife, Ms. Connie Smith, who has helped make the show a celebrated success. "The Marty Stuart Show" regularly features guests from some of country music's most revered superstars. Radio personality, Mr. Eddie Stubbs, shares the stage as both Mr. Stuart's sidekick and the show's announcer.
Marty Stuart is one of the most eclectic performers, seamlessly transitioning between honky-tonk, rockabilly, traditional country and bluegrass. He is one of country music's most historically-minded "new" traditionalists.
Mr. Stuart is an accomplished artist, performer, producer, writer and photographer. His career began at the tender age of twelve when he began playing mandolin with the Sullivan Family. He then moved to Nashville to join Lester Flatt & the Nashville Grass. Stuart eventually landed the job he had always wanted: performing with the Johnny Cash band. After more than six years with Johnny Cash, Stuart pulled together his own band, launched his own label and the rest is history.
Stuart is never shy to demonstrate to his appreciation of fellow musicians and continues to do so every week by featuring them on his show. RFD-TV is constantly receiving praise for having "The Marty Stuart Show" as part of their regular lineup; it's a program that has people across the country tappin' their toes every time!
A variety of artists have been featured on "The Marty Stuart Show", including Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. It seems that as long as Stuart can convince friends to join him on stage, he will continue to pack the house. (Source: RFD TV)
