The Avengers TV show was an action/spy series about a suave, debonaire British agent and his female partners. Most of the plots were sci-fi oriented and pure fantasy. The hero, agent John Steed, played by Patrick Macnee, had several lady partners during the series, the best known being Mrs. Emma Peel portrayed by Diana Rigg.
