Rodney Miller, creator and host of RFD-TVs "Small Town Big Deal", welcomes Jann Carl as his new co-host of the rural lifestyle show. Carl, a former correspondent and weekend anchor for "Entertainment Tonight", will soon join Miller, a long-time leader in the agricultural machinery industry, for the show's weekly television episodes. "I'm trading in the red carpets of Hollywood for the green pastures of rural America and I can't wait to get started," says Carl.
Miller's new show Small Town Big Deal, premiered in September 2012 on RFD-TV, shining the spotlight on the innovative, interesting and historic things happening in small town USA.
The two hosts are certainly a unique pairing, but they in fact share common backgrounds related to agriculture and the farm machinery industry. In addition to her extensive hosting experience Jann Carl also brings to the show her background as a writer-producer, and to the surprise of many, she has a mid-western farm background as well. Her grandparents were dairy farmers and her father was a sales and marketing executive with John Deere for 30 years. Her career has included positions as an Emmy award-winning reporter and news anchor for network TV stations prior to joining "Entertainment Tonight" where she was on-air for 13 years. (Source: RFD TV)
