• 2008 Summer Site Updates! |
The summer has brought many upgrades and new functions to TVRage! A big thank you goes out to those members who provided any input and/or ideas for new features.
Updates, upgrades and new features added include:
1) Upgraded Searches: In addition to the People, Show and Forum search features, the following search features are also available: Search for Characters, Search Episode Titles, Suggest Search-Show, Suggest Search-People
2) Full Week RSS: The newest RSS update is the Full Week RSS feed where RSS feeds can be customized by country, show classification, network, or limited to shows listed in My Favorite Shows.
3) Printable Episode Guides: Your favorite episode guide can now be converted to a hard copy. When selecting Printable Guide under the Show Menu, the printout can be customized by selecting to hide or display guest stars, episode crew, and screencaps.
4) Updated Front Page: The front page has been re-stylized and upgraded, including additional navigation bars for faster site navigation; recently visited shows can be found under the "Bookmarks" tab; and a schedule that defaults to the user's timezone instead of a cycling through each time period.
5) Show Guide Upgrades/Additions: Numerous upgrades and additions have been made to show guides: theme songs can now be uploaded to a show's main page, complete with a built-in player; a show navigation menu, which can be enabled or disabled through the My Settings page; a character search feature; galleries for character guides; the ability to submit main cast per episode; alternate airdates can be hidden, which users can opt to do through their My Settings page; and for editors, individual show polls can be created by selecting "Polls" under the Admin Menu.
6) Voting Revamp: The site's voting system has been tweaked slightly and upgraded: the front page now includes an updated episode voting section, complete with shows from multiple countries as well as previous days; and the voting system has been reconfigured to disable episode voting until the episode has aired in the user's timezone.
7) Countdown to Premieres: The Countdown feature now includes the option to limit to your favorite shows; links to series from all countries; episode premiere dates; and links to trailers for the upcoming episodes.
8) My Favorite Shows: Managing your My Favorite Shows list is now easier with the ability to sort your list by rank, show name, previous episode, or next episode. Also added are links to the trailers for upcoming episodes.
