For Maddy, her daughter Shante’s sixteenth birthday is both a joyous and terrifying affair. Her goal is to get her daughter through the next year without her falling victim to the “Walker Women’s Curse,” which is getting pregnant at age 16, like both she and her mother, Loretta, did. However, in the midst of celebrating with Shante’s father, Victor, Maddy ends up in bed with Victor, and subsequently pregnant.

Meanwhile, Loretta decides that she won’t be the only one walking around without a big booty, and Kayla goes on a hunger strike for what she believes is a worthy cause.

Maddy mourns her break-up with Cedric long and hard, forcing Loretta to step in. Realizing that Shante is already jealous of the new baby, Victor sets out to make her feel special. Kayla, suspicious that her boyfriend is cheating, sets up FBI-worthy surveillance, determined to catch him in the act.

Maddy pushes for full, legal custody of her unborn child in an effort to mimic her and Victor’s paperless agreement with Shante, while Loretta helps Shante keep a car accident from her parents, and buys lingerie to help prepare Maddy for her first sexy encounter with Cedric. Meanwhile, Kayla, still depressed about the demise of her last relationship, meets an unlikely suitor.

As Maddy struggles to deal with the side effects of her pregnancy, especially as it pertains to her professional life, Kayla tries to reject the advances of her new admirer, and Loretta realizes that her 20/20 vision may be gone for good.

Maddy gives Kayla a sealed envelope so that she can bake a cake to reveal the baby’s gender at a reveal party. Loretta is desperate to be in the know, and goes to great measures to get the information.
