'America's Fugitive Family' follows the story of the Gray family, who have shunned the outside world for the past 14 years. Back in 1999, John Joe Gray the head of the family, was arrested and spent a fortnight in jail. He was released but refused to give up his guns to meet his bail conditions. He has since retreated to his compound with his family, here he declared any attempts of apprehension would result in armed resistance. He, his wife and several children now remain in the compound, heavily armed with the local sheriff scared to intervene. The film ponders if the situation will ever have a pleasant resolution or not, following the family over seven months.
