The Bachelor
The concept of the contestants that continue to the next stage of the competition receiving marshmellows and the ones that don't are eliminated, is a parody of the reality show The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette, in which the contestants whom the Bachlor(ette) like recieve roses, and the ones that don't are eliminated. Other shows have done similar ceremonies since, but that was the show that started the trend.
