• 'Clone Wars' gets one-hour October premiere

Cartoon Network will open season two of "The Clone Wars" by airing two new episodes back-to-back.

The hit animated series will launch with a one-hour event on Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. The network also announced season two will consist of 22 episodes (same as the first season).

Also, since no Star Wars epic would be complete without a lengthy, segmented title, the network added a new subtitle for season two: "Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Rise of the Bounty Hunters."
