• Gary Scott Thompson: "Knight Rider is NOT cancelled" |
Recently granted a full season by NBC, the drama is now out to finish its freshman year on a high by undergoing a major reboot. Rider is set to dump three regulars — Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Yancey Arias and Bruce Davison — after the initial 13 episodes and will revamp the show to draw more parallels to its '80s original..."It's a reboot," Gary Scott Thompson, executive producer/showrunner, said. "We're moving away from the terrorist-of-the-week formula and closer to the original, making it a show about a man and his car going out and helping more regular people, everymen."

I hope they change the transformations of KITT to. KITT can change in to anythng as long as it is a ford . From a mustang to a van or a pick-up is just ridiculous. |

| I really like this show and i am glad they are not canceled. I agree the morphing of KITT is rediculous. |

No it's redonkulous ... lol
But I don't like the change to MORE like the 80's show ... making it even more serialized will definitely make me lose interest. I'd prefer an ongoing storyline to disconnected episodes going no-where fast. |

| It's a nice attempt to go back to "old school" (I love the show either way, it's intentionally cheesy and self-aware of it), but the modern audiences we're used to now don't want that. |

| I agree that Sydney Tamiia Poitier and Yancey Arias - their characters - do nothing for the plot, except as hindrances to what Mike and KITT need to do to get the bad guys. Bruce Davison would be more important if they hadn't made his daughter so incredibly brainy. I mean, since she programs KITT, who needs the dad? |

The producers had such a perfect opportunity to kill those useless characters off in the end of ep 9. Unfortunately they didn't have the balls to do it and had to go with the coundtown stopping in the last second cliche, bastards.
But I do still hope they die in ep 13. |

im totally bias as i love the show - just the idea of keeping knightrider alive and on tv ,so new folk can enjoy
is a good thing but they do need to keep the storie lines more real lfe and more background on how they got to the episodes so far would help fill the gaps may be some flashbacks could be possible
and where is old kit and the hjooff gone ??? so many answers needed |

im glad its not ending, its great to see a more upto date version of the hoff classic, but as for the series..i think they should just keep doing what they are doing, these eps that lead nowhere are good in its own right but impliment some everyday characters too.
at first i dint like it much but it did grow on me and now i count the days down till the next ep is uploaded, cant wait to see what they have in store for the second series, more ass and boob shots, maybe take a leap out of baywatches book hehehe |
