Mike Bryant does volunteers helping counsel patients helping them get through intense medical procedures. Now he himself needs help since his motorcycle accident which severely damaged his leg, which made need to be amputated. Vern turns his dark, outdated living room into a space that reflects his masculine taste and his daughter's girly side. Plus he is given a media room where he and his daughter can hang out.
 
34 :04x08 - French Country Christmas (Nov/16/2008)
Contest winner Gloria Bernard, receives her prize, having her home redesigned for the holidays. The winner is a woman who has helped the needy such as taken in families in need, fed the hungry and made quilts for disaster victims, the homeless and soldiers' families. A beautiful kitchen and dinning room in French country style. Also, in the downstairs a room has been made where she can do her quilting.
 
35 :04x09 - Team Spirit (Jan/10/2009)
A mom who has a child with special needs, will receive a room makeover from Vern Yip. This woman is a volunteer of the Special Olympics as a coach and has impacted hundreds of children's lives. An outdated rec room becomes a new party room inspired by the mom and he child's favorite football team. Plus, he gives the mom a traditional master bedroom which she has always wanted.
