stargate's voice of Thor confronted with existentialism against the grain of his personal inanity -- think twice before watching a behind the scenes to know more about the trained meat that spouts the words and emotes the characters you once favored. too many 1 dimensional characters but a thankful amusement vs what could be a world of 'reality' tv like idiocracy's 'ow my [hanging genitals]' Review posted on Monday, April 7th 2014 at 10:04 am |

primary character a bit to flat- and mentally challenged to watch unless there's nothing else left in the OpenELEC listing Review posted on Friday, June 27th 2014 at 11:08 pm |

This show has all the chops of Grey's Anatomy with an other-worldly twist. Charlie, in his comatose state, engages in warm, sad, angry and also funny discussions with those that are about to pass on. Michael Shanks is a great choice to play Charlie as is Erica Durance as Alex. The characters have chemistry and their relationships display passion, commitment and heart. Alex, not able to bear the thought of losing Charlie, passionately enlists the aid of her team to never give up on him. Dr. Hamza was Alex's hero in episode 12, when he performed a deep-cranial stimulation to Charlie's brain, all because Alex would not give up. Commitment is Alex's unending drive to keep Charlie alive. Heart is shown in the risks the team takes every day such as Dr. Murphy, while knowing he will be disciplined, goes to the home of the Alzheimer couple in episode 12, to make sure the wife is okay. This grown-in-Canada creation strikes a chord because the setting is familiar when it names popular locations in Ontario such as Owen Sound. Thank-you CTV for retaining Saving Hope for a second season. I will be watching. Review posted on Saturday, September 8th 2012 at 4:48 am |
