| » the most wonderful time of the year. |
So, as many of you may or may not know, I grew up in a small town northeast-ish of Denver (well, it's a pretty good sized town for that particular area of Colorado, but, y'know...). Anyway, yesterday that area was pummeled by not 1 but 6 tornadoes. Scary stuff.
On to brighter things. Sunday we're heading out on a two week road trip to visit the fam:
T-minus 2 hours: be seated on the patio with beer in hand
T-minus 4 hours: zzzzzzzzz.
T-minus 10 hours: wake up, grumpily
T-minus 12 hours: be at my fiancee's oldest step sister's high school graduation
T-minus 48 hours: be on the road to Missouri for my oldest brother's graduation from grad school.
Other stops include Iowa to meet my sister-in-law's family; Texas, where my fiancee's grandparents live; and then back home. Yup, it's gonna be awesome. Plan is to be back a week from Thursday, so I'll see you then, cats and kittens.
Now, to tide you over in the meanwhile: linkage.
Carne asada is not, indeed, a crime.
If you have time to kill, watch Top Ground Gear Force
Also good for a laugh, the 50 greatest comedy sketches of all time.
Kinda like way after the fact, but I learned today that March 14th is Steak and BJ Day.
Least politically aware protester ever.
And lastly, I'm almost horrified to admit that my guy bought himself this shirt
See you dudes next week! |

Tornadoes are horrifying. Did you know anybody from that area still?
Two weeks without Jen?
And my gawd, that's an awful shirt. Reminds me of my friends that read something like "I eat more pussy than cervical cancer"..

My aunt and uncle live about 2 blocks away from the area most hard hit, but all they lost was a screen door and a few shingles. A lady I work with, though, lost the roof to her garage and a shed in the back yard. Could have been a heck of a lot worse than it was.
And yes, the shirt is awful. When I do laundry next, the washer might mysteriously make it disappear. |

| Do you guys all have root cellars out there? They're pretty much standard here because of tornadoes and such. |

Love the top 50 comedy routine links. $240 Worth of Pudding was always a favorite.
The shirt IS awful, but if he had bought it, you know you would have borrowed it. |
