Michael von Leheneck is an Austrian born publisher and media entrepreneur. Michael first visited Shanghai with a German Government delegation in 2005 and quickly moved onto the Chinese film and TV scene. Due to his close ties with the Chinese Government, Michael quickly became China's first private investor in the Film and TV industry. Michael has since realized several successful joint ventures with the Chinese Government and its leading TV and Film groups (SMG, SFG, SAFS). Michael founded Chinawood Film Group in 2006 with the goal of establishing a modern Chinese film industry; similar to that of Bollywood and capable of competing with Hollywood's quality and reach in terms of film production. Within 3 years of its inception, Michael turned Chinawood Film Group into China's leading animation film and cartoon TV content trading company, with a market share of over 70% (Cartoon TV series). Michael is now in the process of diversifying the company into a full entertainment powerhouse, producing a range of life action movies, TV movie dramas and sitcoms. Michael is both an Investor and the Executive Producer of the forthcoming film "The People's Republic of Desire". The Financial Team at his private investment company Chinawood Capital is taking care of the money raising and the product placement for this ground breaking project.
