andrew and Kelly became forum moderators and also got passes to The Covenant (or at least I did, not sure if Kelly accepted that part)

Yankees and Phillies go to the World Series, so far Yankees leading 2-1. Games continue into November.

David Letterman affair SCANDAL! (which wasn't thaaaat scandalous, IMO)

More females win Nobel prizes than any other year before (four).

President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize in a landslide, which was considered a controversial decision, I guess, some believing he does not deserve it.

He also announced that the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy will finally end and wants to repeal the Defense Against Marriage Act.

The government of Romania fell, the first time since communism ended in their country.

The Dow Jones closed above 10K for the first time in a year.

Windows 7 is released.

The Olympic Torch is lit for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The relay begins..

19 year old Canadian singer Taylor Mitchell is killed by a pack of coyotes during a hike outdoors.

Iran is ready for a deal w/ its nuclear program.

The Matthew Shepherd Act is passed and is now law.

Dennis Hooper and Andrew Lloyd Weber both have prostate cancer.

Ivanka Trump gets married.
