RIP Steve Irwin |
| Message: |
In the early morning hours, I read a post at TV.com that said Steve Irwin was killed while diving. I couldn't believe it. It took me by total surprise. Even though, yes, he has done some crazy stunts in the past but he always made it out unskathed. I guess he was almost superhuman in my eyes able to tackle crocs in a single bound. I guess it's also shocking that it ended up being a stingray that took him out. Stingrays can't kill you with a single sting unless they hit you in the right place or perhaps if you have an allergic reaction. Steve was hit in the right place...his heart. Ironically I think it's his big heart for animals that attracted so many viewers to his show. My family and I have watched his show for years and have been entertained by both his knowledge and enthusiasm for what he does. I feel for his wife Terry and their two children...the sadness they feel right now must be overwhelming. My thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends....so long Steve-o. :(
