In 1998, actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon created the band 30 Seconds to Mars as a small family project, which eventually evolved into something bigger. In 2002, they released their first album, the self-titled 30 Seconds to Mars. In 2005, they released their second album, A Beautiful Lie. The band has achieved several awards for their music and they have been a influential face to the post-grunge rock genre.
