Erin Cohen (a.k.a. Erin Daniels) was born October 9th, 1973 in St. Louis, Missouri. Raised in St. Louis, Erin attended Clayton High School, and after high school graduation moved to Poughkeepsie, New York, to attend Vassar College. Erin graduated Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture and Art History.

Erin’s first acting work appears to have been a guest starring role on the 1996 Law & Order episode Aftershock playing the part of Miss Stadler (and being credited as Erin Cohen). Her first movie appearance was in 1998's tv movie USMA West Point playing the part of Christine Davis. Erin’s first steady work occurred on the Jay Mohr/Joel Silver 1999 FOX Hollywood comedy Action playing the recurring part of Jenny. After the cancellation of Action, Erin found work in several guest starring roles on tv and several appearances in movies (like 2002's Wheelman) before landing a recurring role on the NBC crime show Boomtown as Officer Karen Crane in four episodes.
