She began her career as a teenager doing commercials. As a sophomore at Northwestern University, she won the covted role of Steve Martin's daughter in the remake of "Father Of The Bride." Kimberly did some work in movies. She's best known as for her work in "Father Of The Bride" films. Despite her auspicious debut, she returned to Northwestern to complete her degree. "I wanted to study theatre in-depth and establish a foundation on which to build my career," she explains.
After college she resumed her acting career. She has done many movies since than, and her latest was "How To Eat Fried Worms." She also appeared in various stage productions including a few debut's in London and Broadway. She also made her directoral debut on "According To Jim" a few season's ago.
Summer of 2003, she starred in and co-produced, "Lucky Seven," a romantic comedy for ABC Family Network. She will also lend her voice to the upcoming Disney animated feature, "Porco Rosso."
Summer of 2005, she won an award for her directorial and starring in "Shade" and husband Brad Paisley, wrote the music for. Kimberly is a spokesperson with the Elizabeth Glaser Pedistric AIDS Foundation. She is also on the Board of Directors at ECO, Earth Communications Office. She has been actively involved in civic and charitble efforts.

She got married to Country singing star Brad Paisley on March 15, 2003, and they both have a son, William Huckleberry Paisley, born on February 22, 2007.
