Erica Durance was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 21, 1978, however she moved to Three Hills shortly after, where she was raised. Her parents are Joel, a truck driver, and Gail, a librarian.
Erica, upon graduating from high school, moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, where she began her acting career. She started out doing simple roles in commercials, though she graduated to guest starring roles until her current role on Smallville as Lois Lane, Clark Kent's a.k.a. Superman (Tom Welling) future wife, for which she is arguably most known for.
She resides in Vancouver with her husband, David Palffy, whom she wed on January 8, 2005.
