Nikki was on the island from the beginning despite what anyone else says. Not many people on the island knew who Nikki was and she often hung around Paulo. It turns out that Nikki and Paulo were jewel thieves. When the plane crashed Nikki tried her best to locate the jewels. Nikki in truth did not like Paulo but was only using him. Nikki tried to kill Paulo by releasing the Medusa Spider on him. They both were bit by the spider. The bite paralysed both Nikki and Paulo but they would have recovered in 6 hours. Both would still be alive if it were not for Hurley and Sawyer who unknowingly buried them alive.

Anne, the second oldest sister, is a therapist who specializes in counseling transvestites. Anne has an "go get 'em" attitude and would jump at the opportunity to single-handedly save the world.
