Since 2001, the exotic Alana De La Garza is a beautiful actress that has been leaving an imprint on the small screen. In 1976, De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father and an Irish-American mother in Columbus, Ohio. Soon enough, she was relocating to Texas, where she pursued a physical therapy career at the University of Texas. De La Garza didn’t last long in Texas, and moved to Orlando, Florida, where she experienced a variety of acting roles, including local independent films and global commercials. Despite the small parts, she quickly discovered her passion for acting. She moved to New York, and in 2001, she scored her first acting gig on the daytime soap opera “All My Children” as Rosa Santos. Throughout the early 2000s, she had small parts on “JAG,” “Las Vegas” and “Two and a Half Men.” In 2004, she landed her first major series role on the short-lived drama “The Mountain.” She played Maria Serrano, and De La Garza was lucky enough to star alongside some top TV actors, including Barbara Hershey, Oliver Hudson, Penn Badgley, Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. Her most memorable role came in 2006 on “Law & Order,” where she played A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. She appeared in 85 episodes. Her character then flocked to the short-lived spin-off “Law & Order: LA.” This particular character earned De La Garza several nominations, such as “Best Supporting Actress - Television” by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even several ALMA Award noms. In 2008, she took home an Impact Award for “Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series” from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. A short moment later, De La Garza was cast in “CSI: Miami” in a recurring role. She played Marisol Delko, and wife to David Caruso’s character, Horatio Caine. Her most current TV work was on NBC’s somewhat dark drama “Do No Harm,” as Dr. Lena Solis. After two episodes, the series was cancelled. Yes, she’s known quite well in the TV world, but De La Garza also dabbles in movies. She’s appeared with David Boreanaz in “Mr. Fix It,” and she will also appear with Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson in the upcoming comedy, “You Are Here.” She is currently married to Michael Roberts, and they have one son, Kieran. In 2013, the couple announced they were expecting their second child.
