Character Bio
Castle’s daughter, seventeen-year-old Alexis, is his only child from his first marriage. Alexis is an old soul who is wise beyond her years and never ceases to amaze Castle with her wisdom and insight. She has inherited Castle’s charm and wit but rebelled against his devil-may-care attitude about life by being overly practical and methodical about her own. She’s honest and loyal to a fault (even in the face of peer pressure) and holds high standards for herself and those she loves.
Sometimes in her relationship with her father, it’s difficult to tell which one’s the parent and which one’s the child. But as she approaches adulthood, Alexis is beginning to challenge her relationship with Castle and isn’t afraid to test her limits. It’s the time in her life when she needs to figure out who she is and what she wants, even if Castle isn’t on the same page. However, she knows that no matter what, whether she fails or succeeds - he will always be there to cheer her on.
Actor Bio
During her first community ballet at age six, Molly Quinn fell in love with every aspect of the performing arts. Through the care and guidance of director Martin Beck, she continued to study and develop different acting methods over the next five years.
At the end of sixth grade, Quinn attended summer film camp in Dallas, Texas. When she was auditioning at the Young Actors Studio, the director, Linda Seto, asked her if she could come back in two weeks to perform for Cindy Osbrink and Mary Grady. They all felt strongly that there was work for her to do in L.A., and after six more months of intensive training in comedy, sitcom, green screen, teleprompter and film work, Quinn joined the Osbrink Agency in Los Angeles and subsequently Management 360.
Quinn is now living her dream, and her parents are still trying to catch up. Besides being a series regular on Castle, she is the lead voice, Bloom, in Nickelodeon's global hit cartoon Winx Club. Over the last few years she has worked with Jake Kasdan on Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Robert Zemeckis on A Christmas Carol, and Richard Loncraine on My One and Only.
