Dawn Summers portrayed by Michele Trachtenberg mysteriously shows up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in season 5. Her surprise insert in the show got many puzzled. When she made her debut she became the little sister to Buffy that was quite annoying to Buffy. She proved that she could me Joyce's favorite and Buffy should bend to her needs regardless of what Buffy has to do as a slayer. Dawn proved to be a vital importance in season 5 when we discover what her role is in the plot of season 5 as the Key that opens up a Hell dimension. In season 6, Dawn gradually starts to mature as a character and slumps into a quest for fitting in with the rest of the group since she feels as an overall outsider to the rest of them.
