Beavis is the dumber of the two friends. He enjoys nose-picking, nachos, trying to score with chicks, and speaking in tongues. Beavis is fascinated by fire, and this has been a point of controversy with the show. He has an alter-ego named Cornholio, who needs "TP for his bunghole". Beavis works at Burger World, and attends Highland High School.

Mr. Buzzcut is Highland's PE and Health teacher. He's clearly ex-military and doesn't put up with any crap. He thinks Beavis and Butt-head are useless maggots who need a little discipline, and he's just the man to deliver it. He's funniest when teaching sex education in his harsh, no-nonsense style.

Butt-head is the "brains" of the twosome. He enjoys hitting on girls, bossing Beavis around, and watching videos on TV, as long as the videos don't suck. He is usually the one who thinks of activities for the duo to do. Like Beavis, he works at Burger World, though not very hard, and he also attends Highland High School.

Mr. Van Driessen is one of the teachers at Highland High School. He seems to be stuck in the 60's, and really believes in peace, love, and everything hippies stand for. He honestly thinks that deep down, Beavis and Butt-head just need a little love and understanding so they can blossom into fine young men.

Principal McVIcker is the very nervous man in charge of Highland High School. Beavis and Butt-head cause him to have mental breakdowns on a regular basis. He keeps booze in his desk, perhaps to calm the nervous shaking and stuttering that make him seem so ineffective as a leader.

Mr. Anderson is the boys' neighbor. He frequently hires them to do yard work and chores, but since he can never remember their names or what they look like, he always forgets what bad work they do. Beavis and Butt-head really enjoy tormenting the poor old guy.

Boomhauer is one of Hank's neighbors. He likes fast cars and "fast women."

Hank is uptight to say the least.
