Texas A&M was founded in 1876 as the first land grant college in Texas (even before the University of Texas was founded, which didn’t occur until 1883).
A&M is a member of the Big 12 Conference and regularly appears on TV in college sporting
events. A&M is one of the South half of the North / South Big 12 conference.
Located in College Station, Texas, Texas A&M is also the home to President Bush’s (Bush 42) Presidential Library.
