David has one older sister named Ellie.

David attended Beverly Hills High School; then later graduated from Northwestern University. He earned a degree in theatre and speech.

David is best known for playing nerdy sensitive guy Ross Geller on the sitcom Friends.

He has been romantically linked to many lovely ladies, including actress Mili Avital, and Aussie singer/model Natalie Imbruglia.
