Simon Helberg was born Simon Maxwell Helberg, on December 9, 1980. Both of his parents are involved in show business. His father is Sandy Helberg, and his mother Harriet B. Helberg a casting director. Even so, he wasn’t interested in acting until getting into his teenage years. He studied at the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 1999 he started proving his ability as a comedic actor and a talented sketch performer. He spent the early part of the 2000’s doing small roles and guest spots, until 2007, when he landed the role of super nerd engineer Howard Wolowitz, on ‘The Big Bang Theory’(2007).
