Ryan John Seacrest was born on December 24, 1974 in Dunwoody, Georgia to parents Gary and Constance Seacrest. When he was young, he dreamed to become a DJ. He got his first DJ job at age 15 for a radio show, and graduated from Dunwoody High School in 1993. After high school, Ryan attended the University of Georgia, but dropped out when he was offered a job for ESPN. Throughout the '90s, he hosted several short-lived games shows, and landed a gig as a DJ for Star 98.7, which we worked for until 2003. In 2002, he gained fame after he took the job as a co-host for FOX's American Idol. During the second season, Ryan was promoted to host, after his fellow co-host, Brian Dunkleman did not return. He has since been host of the show, and has also earned a hosting job for E!, a co-host for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve (and to become Dick's successor), among other jobs. In 2005, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 2006, he earned an Emmy.
