His personal life seems to be as flawed as his character on 24: He was engaged to Julia Roberts until it ended abruptly five days before the marriage. He's married to Kelly Winn since 1996, but to this date they are separated.
He currently has been seen dating fellow 24 star, Reiko Aylesworth.
Sutherland currently has one daughter, Sarah Jude Sutherland, and one step daughter from his former marriage to Camelia Kath.
In 2007, he was convicted with drunk-driving, and is expected to have serve a total of 48 days in jail in the upcoming year.
