A new idea? no. A new story? No. ooh buzzword: mashup? yes. Review posted on Sunday, March 3rd 2013 at 11:53 am |

I love alternate takes on reality. The premise here is that our current reality is actually the fairy tale, where dreams never come true. The life we are meant to live is in a place where, if we work hard enough, we can make anything happen. However, there is a loop hole: Learning of the truth, believing it, and acting upon it. We are not doomed after all! A great cast, stunning visuals, and fantastic writing make this show a great weekly escape. Keep up the good work, ABC! Only a bad director can make mediocre actors look so completely pitiful. Review posted on Sunday, November 6th 2011 at 9:31 pm |

I was just able to get my hands on season 1 and started watching yesterday evening. At first I was afraid that I wouldn't like it too much, I felt I was like too old being 46 and all. Fairy tales are not that much my style. I was wrong, I enjoyed every episode I watched so far.I have to admit however that I didn't know about half of these fairy tales, just not something my mother would read to me when I was a kid. I wish I knew a bit more before watching an episode. I started to find the tales on line and reading them first then watching an episode. Takes a little longer but makes the show that much more interesting. I also love the way they tell the fairy tales in our modern world. Great show. Oppps I hope I didn't jinks it. Seems anytime someone publically says they enjoy a certain show the networks for some reason cancel it not long after Review posted on Thursday, December 27th 2012 at 6:06 pm |

I don't watch any other ABC shows, so was wondering, is the wildly flucuating sound, because of this show or the station? Sound effects seem to be many decibels louder than the voices (can barely hear what some of them say, unless I want to go deaf from the effects) and as for the commercials... well, thank god for DVR fast forward, else this would've been deleted in the first 15 minutes. It all just seems to ruin the experience and I'm not overly anxious to play "quick, to the volume button" for another show. Review posted on Tuesday, November 1st 2011 at 1:47 am |
