Get out your pencils and/or smart phones and mark your calendar! 'Saturday Night Live' has announced its next hosts and musical guests, and the lineup is exciting!
Put a big exclamation point next to the date April 5 because the charming and witty Anna Kendrick will make her 'SNL' hosting debut that night. Kendrick, who will next star in this summer's 'Happy Christmas,' is best known for her performance as Jessica in the 'Twilight Saga,’ and for her acting and vocals in the feature film 'Pitch Perfect.’ If you have seen the movie, or if you listen to the radio, you have probably had her song "Cups" stuck in your head at least once this year.
If you haven’t had Kendrick's tune replaying in your mind, on April 5, you’ll be able to get hooked on a tune by singer Pharrell since he will join the actress Kendrick as the show's musical guest. His latest solo album 'GIRL' debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and most recently he was an Oscar nominee for his upbeat song "Happy." Speaking of catchy songs, he is also featured on Robin Thicke’s hit track, ‘Blurred Lines.’
The following week, April 12, Seth Rogen will return for the third time to the Studio 8H stage to promote his R-rated comedy 'Neighbors.' Personally, I've been watching Rogen since his 'Freaks and Geeks' days and couldn't be more happy to see him back on 'SNL.' Ed Sheeran, British singer-songwriter, will make his debut as musical guest. Sheeran, a growing pop sensation around the globe, has previously appeared on ‘The Voice,’ as a mentor to Christina Aguilera’s contestants.
‘SNL’ returns to the air with new episodes on March 29 with host Louis C.K.
