NBC won the night in all measures.
'The Voice,' as usual, topped the night in every respect. That said, it still dropped two tenths to a 4.5. Lead-out 'The Blacklist' took a much bigger tumble, falling four tenths to a 2.7. A 90-minute edition of 'The Bachelor' dipped two tenths for ABC, posting a 2.3. 'Castle' set a new series low of 1.6, continuing the uncharacteristic downward spiral its been experiencing as of late.
Over on the Eye, 'HIMYM' fell three tenths to a 3.3, as it continues along towards its big series finale. Conversely, every other CBS comedy rose. '2 Broke Girls' climbed up a smidge to a 2.6. 'Mike & Molly' also made small gains, earning a 2.2. 'Mom' bumped up a tenth to a 2.0. That's not quite enough for me to change my prediction, but I'll keep my eye on it. 'Intelligence' matched last week's 1.2.
The season finale of 'Almost Human' hit a new all-time low of 1.5. I'm growing a bit conflicted about my "likely cancellation" prediction, as I have to wonder why FOX is waiting until so late in the game to drop the ax. For now though, it stays as is.
'The Following' matched last week's series low 1.6, and is now far enough into its season for me to make a real prediction below. As for The CW, 'Star-Crossed' remained at its abysmal 0.4 threshold, and 'Beauty and the Beast' performed even worse, earning a 0.3. Time to downgrade 'the Beast.'

PRIMETIME PROGNOSTICATION
The five main factors I consider when making a prediction are thus:
1. Does the show win its timeslot, and how often? (CW shows are exempt from this criteria.)
2. How do the show's ratings compare to similar programs on the same network? (Self explanatory.)
3. How long has the show been on the air? (Veteran series are always more likely to get renewed.)
4. Does the show have any high-profile leads? (Never discount star power.)
5. How much does the show cost to make? (Approximately, exact TV budgets are hard to come by.)
Newly updated predictions are in bold.
Castle - Likely Renewal
How I Met Your Mother - Final Season
2 Broke Girls - Guaranteed Renewal
Mike & Molly - Likely Renewal
Mom - Likely Cancellation
Intelligence - Guaranteed Cancellation
Star-Crossed - Guaranteed Cancellation
Beauty and the Beast - Guaranteed Cancellation
Almost Human - Likely Cancellation
The Following - Likely Cancellation
The Blacklist - Already Renewed
I enjoyed Intelligence but I can see why it would be cancelled. I definitely enjoyed Meghan Ory in her role. She had the right mix of everything. Overall, I think the casting was done well. That said, there was room for improvement with the scripts and storyline. With respect to Almost Human, they made errors in not showing the episodes in order. I also found some of the episodes to just be, well, boring. In this case I found the casting to be excellent and I couldn't ask more from the actors. The problems came down to the episodes that I found weak and games with episode order. The finale was, IMHO, the best episode of the season. But, if you are trying to increase viewership that doesn't work out very well.
