Hanna (Ashley Benson), Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) are going back to the 1940s, but don’t worry it’s not permanent, even though each character fits seamlessly into the era.
This coming Tuesday, the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ travel back in time to the fantastic film noir days, and all thanks to Spencer, her sleepless nights, and those special pills she’s been taking to get through school, the hunt for “A,” and her research into Ezra (Ian Harding).
Not only do we get to see the ladies sporting a fabulous wardrobe, makeup, and using ‘40s lingo, but their current case of “A” and Ezra, who’s been a very bad boy as of late, transfers over into Spencer’s black and white dream.
While teleported back in time, Spencer, with help from Toby (Keegan Allen), tries to put all the pieces together involving Ali, “A,” Ezra and Ali’s ominous diary.
Obviously, you’ll have to tune in to see how it all turns out, but to hold you over here are some teasers and photos from the upcoming black and white episode, "Shadow Play." If you’d rather experience all the film noir goodness on Tuesday, then beat it, teleport yourself back to the 1940s and buy yourself a 15 cent cup of coffee.
-Without Aria, who’s still off with Ezra, Spencer, Emily and Hanna go snooping through Ezra’s desk and find [SPOILER].
-For all you Hanna fans (that includes moi), look forward to her uttering the following line: “This is all about the A-ness of things.”
-More Hanna goodness: 1940s Hanna is known as the president of the “Man Haters Club.” Who wants to join? Oh, and 1940s Hanna gets to put her phone skills to good use aka she’s a switchboard operator!
-We get to see a twist on Emily and Paige’s relationship, meaning we're shown what it probably would’ve been like for them back in the ‘40s.
-Once again, we hear Ali say, “Now that is immortality, my darling.”
-Look forward to a great scene between Toby and Ezra -- in fedoras.
-In the present day, Ezria have an interesting conversation about heroes and villains.
-The only thing missing from the episode? Caleb (Tyler Blackburn).
-Lastly, and I know this isn’t a teaser, but the episode affirms that I grew up in the wrong era.
The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ film noir episode airs Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 8/7c on ABC Family.
