CBS won Thursday in all measures, as per usual.
'The Big Bang Theory' shot up three tenths to a monster-sized 5.7 rating. This represents the highest number for 'TBBT' in almost a year. The increase carried over to 'The Millers,' which matched its series high of 3.3. 'The Crazy Ones' jumped up four tenths to a 2.4. 'Two and a Half Men' also earned a 2.4, rising two tenths. 'Elementary' rose two tenths to a 2.0. All in all, an outstanding night for CBS.
NBC also had a better than average Thursday. 'Community' rose slightly, posting a 1.4. 'Parks & Recreation' vaulted up half a point to a 1.5, its highest number in months. The perpetually struggling freshman duo of 'Sean Saves the World' and 'The Michael J. Fox Show' both garnered 1.0s, their first positive movement in a long, long time. 'Parenthood' came in even with last week's 1.3.
'The Taste' matched last week's 1.3. While it may have premiered way down from last year, the fact that 'The Taste' didn't drop in week two is definitely a good sign for fans. 'The Assets' continues to flatline, falling to a 0.6. To put that number in perspective, not one single other show on any of the big four networks has garnered a rating that low all season. Even The CW usually posts better numbers than that. I know 'The Assets' is a mini-series, but ABC needs to stop the bleeding and ax it now.
