Elena:
-This episode was full of sorrowful moments, with one being Elena’s depressing rundown of her family history aka deaths galore.
-Well, Elena is down another family member/best friend. Do you think she’ll recover after learning about Bonnie’s death?
-Elena fans, you might hate me for this, but I can’t hold it in any longer. It’s time for some Elena bashing. Will she just stick with one brother already? This girl gives me whiplash. She loves Stefan. She loves Damon. She chooses Damon. Stefan loses his memory, and now she’s encouraging him? Hmm...she acts more like Katherine every day.
Damon:
-Props to Damon for being eco-friendly. He stopped Stefan from littering! I’m glad to see Ian Somerhalder is transferring his offscreen eco-values onto the small screen.
-I don’t know about you, but I consider Damon and Stefan to be both the “fun” and “safe” brother. They both have their crazy and sound episodes.
-Anyone else get chills when Damon hugged Jeremy? Talk about a major swoon moment!
-How long do you think it will take for Damon to tell Elena to stop giving off flirty vibes to Stefan?
Stefan:
-We’ve seen many different sides to Stefan (both of the brooding and Ripper persuasion), but I must say amnesic Stefan is probably my favorite. Seeing him guilt-free and having fun, while still maintaining most of his control, is a nice change of pace from all the self loathing. He even burned his diaries in hopes of putting the past behind him. (Though does that mean we can no longer call this show ‘The Vampire Diaries’?) Food for thought!
-Did anyone else find it so crazy that Elena was helping to teach Stefan to be a vampire? We’ve come full circle, people! Also, Flirty Stefan is adorable.
-I chuckled quite a bit when Stefan pegged Damon as the “safe brother,” calling himself the fun one. Though, he certainly earned some major fun points after this episode.
Matt:
-Dude is so stressed out about how he keeps losing time these days. Thanks to a little late-night video recording session, he now knows there’s a passenger currently taking up residence inside that beautiful brain of his. And he wants Matt to protect a knife. What’s that about?
-Matt with an accent + Matt wearing a suit = the most swoon-worthy moment of the night. (And that’s saying something in a show centered around supernatural hotties. Way to represent the humans, Matt!) Seriously though, writing about it just doesn't do it justice. Just go watch it again (and again, and again).
-Matt had no one to hug him at Bonnie’s funeral, which just seems wrong. Pick me, pick me!
Caroline:
-Stefan and Caroline had some great scenes together this week, which I’m sure sent many Steroline fans into a fit of squeals (which may or may not have included yours truly). I’m usually a big supporter of the whole Klaus-Caroline potential romance, but now that he’s off to New Orleans I’m surprising into this pairing. Color me intrigued.
-She may have regretted it afterwards, but that kiss with Jesse was pretty hot. Girl got a lot of action during this episode and I definitely don’t hate it. (Though it now looks like Jesse is going to be part of some freaky vampire experiment at Whitmore College, so that relationship might be doomed before it even begins).
-Apart from her impressive academic curriculum, Caroline revealed that she gets some of her medical knowledge from ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Join the club!
Jeremy:
-The first view of Jeremy during this week’s episode? Oh, you know, him doing push-ups shirtless. More please!
-With Tyler MIA, it’s nice to see the Jeremy and Matt bromance evolving, even if it is focused around death and supernatural mysteries.
-Finally! Jeremy revealed Bonnie’s true whereabouts, along with his own supernatural lecture aka “magic always comes with a price.” So, here’s a tough question: would you rather have Jeremy or Bonnie alive?
Bonnie:
-Despite her being six feet under, it’s nice to know Bonnie still knows what’s important. For example, she realizes Jeremy working out is a form of entertainment. I think everyone feels that way.
-As sad as it is, I’m glad everyone knows about Bonnie’s death. Maybe she’ll magically appear alive at some point? Anything can happen on ‘TVD.’
-How sad was Bonnie’s memorial service? Talk about deja vu. This show has too many funerals. At least Bonnie found happiness telling Elena, Matt and Caroline how to carry on without her.
Tyler:
-Just when you started doubting Tyler and his six pack were never coming back into our lives, he managed to return for Bonnie’s little funeral. In a suit, no less! It’s so hard to stay mad at him if he insists on looking that good.
-Can we assume he’s back on a permanent basis? And if so, that he will be shirtless most of the time? Please?
Be sure to come back next week for another installment of 'Weekly Fang Girls,' and definitely don't miss 'The Vampire Diaries' every Thursday at 8/7c on The CW.
