Zac Efron is back on the big screen with a starring role in the upcoming film, “New Year’s Eve.” The film follows a number of storylines, including he and Michelle Pfeiffer working on completing her New Year’s resolutions from the past year. Glee’s Lea Michele also stars as a Broadway star looking for love.
At the premiere last night, Efron admitted that he has his eye on teaming up with New Year’s Eve co-star Lea Michelle on "Glee." Though he wants to join the cast for a guest role, you’d never guess who he really wants to play.
“I’m a huge fan of ‘Glee' and a huge fan of her work,” Efron told Access Hollywood. “It looks so fun. I would love to appear on the show.” And now for the shocker- he wants to play a serial killer!
“It’d be fun to sing about,” he defended his confession. Could you imagine America’s innocent Zac Efron showing an evil side?
There’s no denying the High School Musical star is perfect for the role. As Troy Bolton we first saw his musical side. He’s already got the dancing and singing down. Aside from the three High School Musical films, let’s not forget his adorable role as Link Larkin in Hairspray!
If Efron got his wish, that means that one, or more, of the “Glee” cast would be killed off. Could “Glee” spare any of the cast? Likely not! Maybe they could create a character or two for suspense. With all the eerie shows like “Once Upon a Time,” “Grimm,” and “American Horror Story” on TV, maybe that type of story line could boost the ratings even higher for “Glee.” Of course, we wouldn’t want to scare all of tween fans away either.
