Ellen Will Sit Down with Lindsay Lohan

Ellen has an appointment with Lindsay Lohan December 15th. The former tween queen has gotten herself into  a bit of trouble since they last met. In October Lohan served jail time and was let out on bail. She is required to do community service at the morgue. There is one more hot topic about Lohan going around town. She is the featured playmate for the February issue of Playboy. The inspiration for the shoot is Marilyn Monroe who famously posed for the first issue. 

The question looms on what Ellen DeGeneres will ask Lindsay. In their last interview, 2009, Ellen asked an open-ended question about her break up with Samantha Ronson. Ellen gives her the chance to tell her own story. The comedian also shares her own experience breaking up with Ann Heche. 

One of the reasons why Ellen has found success in the talk show circuit is her positivity. I don’t think we will be seeing any  journalistic questions when Lilo comes to the set. Ellen will most likely give her the chance to come clean on her recent court troubles. The real question we have to ask is why Lindsay would choose Ellen to make a re-appearance. It is because of the Ellen's empathy or because she knows that there won’t be any hard questions?

In 2010, Lohan appeared on Alan Carr’s UK talk show. He pressed her about the wild nights and her relationship with Sam Ronson. She stayed tight-lipped about her experiences. Ellen may do well not to mention any of Lohan’s misadventures. 

The Ellen DeGeneres show has won 32 daytime Emmys. It is one of the highest ranked day-time talk shows. It is very different from competitors because it does not fit in with the typical format of other shows. Ellen’s audience tunes in for her unique and genuine point of view. She has found great success without the need for tabloid journalism or expert guests.
