Jimmy Fallon Will Record New Comedy Album for Warner Brothers

Jimmy Fallon has signed a deal with Warner Brothers to release a new album. It has been almost 10 years since the release of The SNL alum's record Bathroom Wall. What can we expect? Fallon's Late Night has become widely known for musical comedy that has later gone viral. One of the most popular bits has been the "History of Hip-Hop" featuring Justin Timberlake . This well-known hit will probably appear on the album.There is no date set for the release. Fallon has said in a statement, "Having a new album coming out soon on Warner Bros. means so much to me. Mostly, it means I should probably start writing some songs."

Jimmy Fallon replaced Conan O'Brien as host of the Late Show in 2009. Lorne Michaels, the producer for SNL, pushed for Fallon to take over the show. Fallon has stated that Lorne Michaels is responsible for his whole career.Late Night averages about 2 million viewers, which barely edges out its competitor The Late Show with David Letterman.

This doesn't mean that Jimmy Fallon is a stranger to musical comedy. As a member of Saturday Night Live he created several classics. One of the most endearing is "I wish it were Christmas Today".This classic SNL sketch features Fallon, Tracey Morgan, Chris Kattan, and Horatio Sans. The skit begins with a classical symphony playing a traditional Christmas song, which leads into a New Wave jam. A Fan has captured the comedy with this clip. The song would later be covered by The Strokes lead singer Julian Casablancas.

This weekend, Jimmy Fallon will be hosting the American Top 40 radio show. He is filling in for Casey Kasem. The announcement came from his Twitter account on Friday. Fallon's previous show, Saturday Night Live, will air tonight at 11:30. The host is Steve Bucemi with musical guest The Black Keys. This will be Bucemi's first time hosting the NBC show since the 1990s.
