Dallas is almost entirely synonymous with the 1980s. Greedy characters who live their lives completely in excess, who week in week out behaved terribly and showed how narcissistic they had become. There were drunken fights, affairs, deaths and prolonged dream sequences that almost ruined the show completely.
TNT has decided to bring back the 80s classic, placing Larry Hagman back in the role which made him famous as JR Ewing and Patrick Duffy as his younger brother Bobby and now we have a trailer to whet our excitement to the point of near explosion.
The trailer sets up for a momentous Ewing family battle over oil, that will begin next summer on TNT, with cast members discussing how important the original series has been.
By maintaining the shows continuity they have also brought back Linda Gray to play Sue Ellen Ewing, as well as several others who will reprise their roles.
They will be joined by a whole new generation of Ewing’s, which will include J.R.’s son John Ross Ewing (Josh Henderson) facing off against Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe), the adopted son of Bobby Ewing. Also starring is Julie Gonzalo, Veronica Mars, and Jordan Brewster, The Fast & The Furious.
Does a new series of Dallas excite people? Or has it already had its time?
