I'll admit, Adult Swim is one of my guilty pleasures. It's hard to beat the absurdity of Adventure Time, the hooliganism of Odd Future's Loiter Squad, and the, uh, blaxploitation of Black Dynamite. While the future of the first two shows has been secure for a while, it wasn't until Thursday that it was announced that Black Dynamite has been renewed for a second season.
The cartoon is based on the hilarious film of the same name, a parody of the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. The series is particularly raunchy and occasionally reminiscent of fellow Adult Swim show The Boondocks (you can't beat the soundtrack, either, which is occasionally taken from the fantastic Madvillain). The series follows badass kung-fu master Black Dynamite as he defies various thugs and criminal masterminds -- his archnemesis, if this gives you any idea, is President Richard Nixon.
The series features plenty of fantastic voice talents, including those of Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, Cedric Yarbrough, Snoop Dogg, Arsenio Hall, Eddie Griffin, J.B. Smoove, and Charlie Murphy.
The first season of Black Dynamite consisted of eleven episodes, while the second season of the series will reportedly consist of ten. It's slated for a late 2013/early 2014 premiere, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

I expect people will remember. Adult Swim runs reruns so often that it'll probably keep gaining its audience.
